Indian Farmers’ Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) held a seminar on the birth anniversary of two great legends Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on Rabi crop and Soil Rejuvenation in S.S.Memorial College, Itawa, Uttar Pradesh. UP Cooperative Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav was the chief guest.
Shivpal Singh Yadav said ”we have to work with our hands instead of using machines in farming activities and in this regard the state government is working on several schemes.
Addressing a huge gathering of farmers, IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi said ” there is need to protect the land from over exploitation and prepare different varieties of crops for the green revolution”. He also touched on issues such as appropriate use of fertilizers, soil testing and various other issues.
Awasthi wrote on his twitter wall later ” we distributed vegetable seeds, biofertilizers to almost 2,000 farmers. He tweeted “Addressed a #farmer’s crop seminar by @IFFDC_Ltd on #soil rejuvenation. Distributed vegetable #seeds, bio-fertilizers to 2000 farmers.”
On this occasion IFFCO MD also inaugurated the Animal Exhibition and said they are playing a significant role in farming activities.
IFFCO Director Aditya Yadav, Yogendra Yadav, Shishpal, Rajkumar Tripathi were also present on the occasion.
