On way to Jordan to attend the Board meeting of JIFCO Managing Director of the farmers’ cooperative Dr U S Awasthi tweeted on the improving performance of the fertilizer plant.
He tweeted “Attended board meeting of #JIFCO, #Jordan, budget approved. Plant performance improving. #IFFCO board will have a technical visit of #JIFCO.”
In the next tweet he complemented the JIFCO team “Excellent #JIFCO plant performance & it’s production efficiency. Congrats 2 team”.
Meanwhile, the Board of IFFCO is also making a technical visit to the Plant. Directors of IFFCO first stopped over in Dubai. They also had a board meeting there.
Posting his status on Face Book Prem Chandra Munshi, one of the directors of IFFCO wrote” Today the Director’s of IFFCO visited along with their Chairman,Sri B.S.Nakai Vice Chairman, Sri N.P.Patel, Hon’ble M.D., Dr.U.S.Awasthi, Jt.M.D.Sri Rakesh Kapur,Sri R.P.Singh, Sri Arabinda Ray,Manish Gupta,Sri M.R.Patel and Sri A.K.Singh the historical places of Jordan in its capital Amman like Jabal Kalan,Ruins of Roman Theatre and Markets of down town. We also visited the office of Jordan India Fertilizer Company a Subsidiary unit of IFFCO in Joint venture with Jordan Government. Today visit concluded with a dinner hosted by Jordan Phosphate Mines Company at Hotel Intercontinental.”
The JIFCO plant counts the largest producer of phosphoric acid complex in the world. Operational from December 2014 the first consignment of 10,000 tons of Phosphoric Acid from JIFCO Jordan was loaded on the Ship in June 2014 for transportation to IFFCO Plant, Kandla, India.
It may be recalled that the JIFCO plant was inaugurated by President of India Pranab Mukherjee and King of Jordan King Abdullah last year.
