The fertilizer cooperative IFFCO flagged off the first consignment of Nano Urea (Liquid) to Nepal from its Kalol unit located in Gujarat on Monday.
It was flagged off by the unit head Deepak Inamdar in the presence of senior officials.
The news was shared by IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi who said it’s a new beginning in the global fertilizer market.
A small bottle with 500 ml of nano urea is equivalent to one 50 kg bag of granular urea currently used by farmers. This will bring substantially down the logistic cost of urea.
Readers would recall that recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s first Nano urea liquid plant set up by IFFCO virtually from Gujarat.
