Several IFA members had gathered together at Versailles in France from 18-20 November in what is known as High Level Forum or Strategic Forum in the IFA parlance. Organizations like IFFCO, YARA and such other big global players working in the field of agriculture and environmental issues were present on the occasion.
This forum noted developments in technology, as well as research and policy agenda to facilitate more sustainable plant nutrition, and examine how the fertilizer industry and other actors could provide solutions to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the fast changing global agricultural systems.
In a release IFA said “In keeping with the objective of the Strategic Forum, namely of looking at key strategic issues of importance to the fertilizer industry, we are excited to dedicate a part of the meeting to a “High Level Dialogue on Sustainable Plant Nutrition”.
