Media reports say the government of Jammu and Kashmir recently accorded sanction to the constitution of a Union Territory Level Cooperative Development Committee and a District Level Cooperative Committee to strengthen the cooperative movement and deepen its reach in the UT.
As per an order, the UT-level Cooperative Development Committee will be chaired by Chief Secretary J&K.
Similarly, the district-level Cooperative Development Committees will be chaired by respective Deputy Commissioners and other district officials.
