ICAR develops Kisan Suvidha mobile applications

Speaking in the Parliament Minister of State for Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri Parshottam Rupala said that his ministry has developed Kisan Suvidha mobile application to facilitate dissemination of information to farmers.

Farmers can download Kisan Suvidha app through Google Play Store and mkisan.gov.in, to access all the information free of cost.

Information given through this app covers  Weather; Market Prices;  Plant Protection;  Agro-advisory; Extreme Weather Alerts; Dealers–Seed, Pesticide, Fertilizer, Farm Machinery; Soil Health Card; Cold Storages & Godowns, Veterinary Centres and Diagnostic Labs.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has also compiled more than 100 mobile apps developed by ICAR, State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras and uploaded on its website.

These mobile apps have been developed in the areas of crops, horticulture, veterinary, dairy, poultry, fisheries, natural resource management and integrated subjects. These apps offers valuable information to the farmers, including package of practices, market prices of various commodities, weather related information, advisory services, etc.
