The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) has achieved a significant milestone, with its customers conducting over Rs 1 crore Unified Payment Interface (UPI) transactions in just 100 days, starting from April 1, 2024.
These transactions have totaled an impressive Rs 1200 crore. The bank shared this achievement through its official Facebook handle with the caption, “Marching on the path of digitalization – Another Milestone.”
This accomplishment underscores the rapid adoption of digital payment methods among the bank’s customers, highlighting a shift towards a more digitized banking experience in the region.
In addition to this recent achievement, the HPSCB had previously set a record with its ‘Sashakt Mahila Rin Yojana’ scheme. Within a few months, 25,000 women benefited from this initiative, resulting in a total loan disbursement of Rs 53 crore.
The scheme has been instrumental in empowering women in the region by providing them with financial assistance and opportunities for economic growth.
