Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has settled 1733 loan cases through Lok Adalats. For recovering the loan amount, on the bank’s initiative the State Legal Services Authority has set up special Lok Adalats at the district and sub-divisional level on 31st October to 1st November, according to media reports.
Bank chairman Khushiram Balnatah said that a total of 2632 cases in these Lok Adalats were presented before the courts in six districts of the bank’s jurisdiction. Out of these, loan amount of about 25.84 crore was settled in 1733 cases.
The courts in Theog, Chaupal and Jubbal subdivisions in Shimla district were held.
