How NCUI trained VLEs are making India digital

How a digital transformation is on the way is evident from the fact that villagers across the country are paying several utilities bills through Village Level Entrepreneurs VLEs.

According to the latest tweet by CSE “More than 52 Lakh electricity bills for the amount of Rs. 1019 Crore collected by CSC VLEs in Rural Areas of Uttar Pradesh in the month of November, 2020.”

Earlier, we published fascinating stories on NCCE, an arm of the apex cooperative body NCUI partnering with the govt of India in preparing an army of trained cooperators who would manage the affairs of multi-purpose District Co-op Societies known as VLEs.

Known as Village Level Entrepreneurs VLEs, these trained co-operators are being churned out every month from the headquarters of NCUI in Delhi.

Common Service Centers an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.
