As part of the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada celebrations at Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), a Hindi workshop was conducted on September 23, 2024. The event, which runs from September 14 to 28, 2024, aims to promote the use of Hindi in daily official work among the faculty, officers, and employees of the institute.
Krishna Kumar Gupta, a retired Scientist ‘C’ from the Central Water and Power Research Station and an expert in the Official Language Policy, was the guest speaker for the workshop. Shri Gupta provided insightful information on the Official Language Policy Rules and Act and led participants through practical exercises. He encouraged attendees to use Hindi in their everyday work and highlighted the importance of promoting the language in official capacities.
Dr. A.K. Asthana, Registrar of VAMNICOM, formally welcomed the guest speaker and shared his thoughts on the significance of the workshop. Additionally, Shri R.K. Menon, Professor and Chairman of the Hindi Pakhwada Organizing Committee, urged employees to actively use Hindi in their daily tasks.
Shri Mahendra Kumar Mishra, Hindi In-charge of the institute, emphasized the importance of the Official Language Policy and guided participants through practice sessions aimed at increasing proficiency in Hindi.
The workshop was well-attended by faculty, research officers, and contractual employees of the institute, all of whom took part in the exercises. The event successfully concluded with Shri Mahendra Kumar Mishra expressing gratitude to all participants, and Ms. Tasneem Khan, Clerk (Hindi), assisting in organizing the session.
The workshop aimed to inspire and equip VAMNICOM’s staff to use Hindi more effectively in their professional roles, marking a successful completion of the institute’s quarterly Hindi workshop.
