The Haryana govt will soon begin a scheme to provide cooperative societies with godowns, processing units and help them financially acquire transport and other infrastructural facilities, reports PTI.
The scheme involving Rs 139 crore will help more than 7,200 primarily agricultural societies in six districts of the state.
This amount is expected to transform them into multi-purpose self-reliant cooperative bodies. The project will last four years and the state govt. will set up a monitoring cell to oversee the operations.
