According to HT reports Kailash Bhagat, chairman HAFED, claimed the business turnover of Rs 17, 700 crores has been achieved by the cooperative.
The HAFED, which is the apex cooperative federation of Haryana, has earned the highest ever profit of Rs 207 crore during 2021-22.
According to the chairman, the federation has taken many bold initiatives for expanding the business, diversifying into export, commercial purchase of different commodities like paddy, wheat and mustard seed.
It is worth mentioning that HAFED has got an export order of 20,000 MT basmati rice valuing $ 21.85 million from Saudi Arabia.
