Madhya Pradesh based Gwalior Nagarik Sahakari Bank donated a sum of Rs 2 lakh towards the PM Cares Fund last week.
Sharing the news with Indian Cooperative, Vinod Suri, Chairman of the bank said, “Gwalior Nagarik Sahakari Bank and its employees jointly contributed a sum of Rs 2 lakh towards the PM cares fund in order to help the government fight against the coronavirus”.
“Besides, the bank is helping the needy of society and distributing the essential items to them. So far, we have given the essential items to over 75 people”, he added.
The UCB had started its activities from a small room in 1980 but now has six branches spread across the area. Currently, the bank is having a business mix of about 400 crore.
