Cooperative body Biscomaun moved in tandem with rest of Bihar in welcoming the guests coming from across the world on the occasion of Guru Parv in Patna last week. The City hosted the celebrations to mark the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Sahib, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs.
Overseeing Gandhi Maidan where the action took place, Biscomaun Bhavan was dolled up like a bride and the entire
cooperative staffs were busy catering to the needs of the guests. In a short Whatsapp massage Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh said “for three days from 3rd to 6th January cooperators connected to Biscomaun and Kribhco offered tea to approximately 3.5 lakh people.”
To achieve this goal the staffs of cooperative bodies left no stone unturned and worked in a work schedule of 24×7, Sunil writes further.
The reception of guests during the seven-day Prakash-Parv which cost the government Rs. 200 crore has been lauded worldwide. “I am happy to say cooperative has also contributed its bit, said Sunil.
Huge tents over the historical Maidan were put up in which lakhs of people gathered to mark the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Sahib. Patna is the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh. Built on his birthplace, the Sri Harmandir Sahib gurdwara is one of the holiest Sikh shrines.
