In a historic milestone, Gujarat-based Gujcomasol has successfully procured 9.20 lakh metric tonnes of crops from 2.75 lakh farmers in the state at a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 6,783 per quintal, ensuring complete transparency in the process.
This marks the highest-ever MSP procurement in Gujarat, with a total of 12 lakh metric tonnes of crops purchased so far.
Gujcomasol Chairman Dileep Sanghani shared the achievement on social media, extending gratitude on behalf of Gujarat’s farmers to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, State Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel, and all administrative officers and staff involved in making this initiative successful.
This record-breaking procurement highlights the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector.
