Senior Congress leader and famous technocrat Sam Pitroda, who was in Rajkot recently met the cooperative leaders of the district and sought their support in the ensuing Assembly elections. Pitroda also addressed the industrialists of the town.
Two prominent cooperators in the meeting were Kamalbhai Dhami of Raj Bank and Kanjibhai Kalawadia(Chairman- NASCO). They used the occasion to voice the concerns of the co-op sector.
In a press release sent by Dhami he says “we raised the issues of co-operative institutions and had a healthy discussion with him on various issues including the issue of income tax being levied on co-operative banks.”
NASCO also came up for discussion and the two leaders described its efficacy before Pitroda. Pitroda heard us patiently and appreciated what we are doing. He also expressed faith in the co-operative model, said Dhami.
Utilizing the technique of what is known as Lyophilization, Nano Agro Science Co-operative Society (NASCO) is producing powdered organic fertilizer packed in a container which may last for years unlike liquid bio-fertilizers. It is claimed to be a game changer by the duo.
