Finally, the wait is over! Zoroastrian Cooperative Bank CEO Uday A. Shetye has been appointed as the new CEO of G P Parsik Cooperative Bank following a process of selection spanning more than two months. Shetye has replaced Sadanand K. Nayak who had been given a warm send off at the end of March this year.
This news was confirmed by the bank Chairman Ranjit Gopinath Patil to this correspondent. He informed “Yes, the appointment of the new CEO is completed and Zoroastrian Cooperative Bank CEO Uday A. Shetye has been appointed as the new CEO of the GP Parsik Cooperative bank last week. He is appointed as the regular CEO in the bank”, he added.
“We will disseminate this information through the bank’s official website along with other details sooner than later”,
Meanwhile, former CEO Nayak is credited with almost doubling the UCB’s business during his tenure. He had joined the bank as CEO in March 2013 when the bank had a business mix of about 2,800 crore and a network of 40 branches in Maharashtra.
The G P Parsik bank was established on 21st May 1972. It has a business mix of about 5,700 crore. Recently, the bank has extended its operation to Karnataka.
