Gold and Rs 12 lakh cash stolen in Jalna Credit Society heist

In a major robbery early Sunday morning, a cooperative credit society in Jalna city was targeted, resulting in the theft of gold and Rs 12 lakh in cash, according to police officials.

The incident occurred at the Aditiya Urban Credit Cooperative Society located in the Old Monda area. Police reported that the robbers used a gas cutter to break into the facility, gaining access to the locker where the cash was stored. Authorities are still assessing the total value of the gold that was stolen.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopany stated, “The accused used a gas cutter to break in, gained access to the locker, and looted Rs 12 lakh in cash. The valuation of the stolen gold is being determined.”

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from both the facility and surrounding areas. Two special teams have been formed to track down the suspects, and a case has been filed at Sadar Bazar police station.
