Gokul Cooperative Bank’s chief executive officer has been arrested by police for misappropriating an amount of Rs. 3.06 crore. Police investigation is on to catch big fish of the bank involved in the fraud, reports Times of India.
Police say fraud was being committed through fictitious loan applications.
A source says the accused hatched a conspiracy with 11 other officials of the bank, including some holding top positions, and siphoned off Rs 3.06 crore of the Rs 9.13 crore cash deposited in 2015.
