Navhind Times reports the Goa Dairy resolving it will oppose the entry of the Gujarat based Surat district cooperative milk producer union in Goa on the ground it will affect local dairy business. The decision was taken at an extraordinary meeting held at the Goa dairy plant at Ponda attended by about hundred milk farmers says the report.

Meanwhile, Goa Dairy chairman Baburao Phadte Desai says the Goa dairy will pull up its sleeves to work hard and offer best possible prices for milk procured from farmers. The dairy will soon begin a slew of schemes that will attract farmers away from the Gujarat milk cooperative , he claims.
