The re-election to the 12-member Board of Directors of Goa Dairy will take place in early May. The registrar of cooperative societies has announced this as directed by the Cooperative Tribunal, a news outlet reports.
Earlier the tribunal had rescinded the election to the board held in January this year.
In January, 37 members had filed nominations, however, during scrutiny, the returning officer had rejected 25 nomination papers of opposition groups due to which twelve members were elected unopposed including Goa Dairy Chairman Madhav Sahkari.
Later, twelve of the 25 members whose nomination papers were rejected had challenged the order and the election process of returning officer in the High Court.
