The Supreme Court refused to grant relief to the four directors of Goa Dairy who were disqualified by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in August, reports TOI.
Earlier, the High Court of Bombay had refused to grant them any relief. The disqualified seven dairy’s directors are Dhananjay, Vithoba, Baburao Desai, Malik, Parab, Madhav Sahakari and Rajendra Sawant.
A chartered accountant had probed into the alleged irregularities in Goa Dairy and submitted a report to the government.
It was first the Goa Dairy chairman Madhav Sahakari who had ordered suspension of dairy’s MD Dr Navso Sawant over the charges of corruption.
Dr Sawant is alleged to have embezzled over Rs 8 crore in his six-year-long tenure.
