The state marketing co-op federation of Bihar, BISCOMAUN which had been leading from the front making urea available to the farmers in the state, has also employed women staff-members to tackle the swelling crowds at its sale-centres.
Cooperative would be viable only when youths and women adopt it fully, said Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh talking to Indian Cooperative. Biscomaun ensures that we employ women in our work-force, he said while sharing several photographs of women handling the fertilizer rush at its centres.
Approximately 145 centres of Biscomaun spread in the state, are thronged by farmers from the morning and the rush is too much for the staff-members to handle, said Sunil. “We need to seek district administration support to control the situation every now and then”, he underlined.
“Frenetic calls are being made by the Centre-in-charges to our Chairman and MD from far flung areas as they fail to 
get enough police force on their own to regulate the sale of urea; Chairman and MD talk to DMs and SPs directly on mobile to seek their help, said a staff-member.
Explaining the rush Sunil tells that it is the rate and the quality that attract people to these centres. “We sell IFFCO’s branded urea and we charge the least in the entire state, which is Rs 265 a bag”, underlined Singh. We have also announced an award if one can prove a higher rate was demanded from him, he stressed.
We recently featured a story titled “Biscomaun records highest sale of urea, thanks IFFCO” in which we described how Bihar based apex marketing cooperative Biscomaun recorded the highest sale of Urea of Rs 3.51 crore on one day.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, Sunil Kumar Singh had said, “In the history of over 70 years of Biscomaun on 14 August 2018, our retail sale of Urea has gone up and disbursed urea of worth Rs 3.51 crore to the farmers of the state. It is possible only because of the support of the world’s largest fertilizer Cooperative IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi and Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar and his team”.

Yes, Biscomaun’s girls are very active regarding sale. They are very punctuals for their works and dedicated to
complete thier work. They handle large crowd and to much amount in cash after that they fid all data into software.
This is not easy for any girls to manage all the things.
As per my knowledge, there are more than 15 KSK centers of BISCOMAUN where women are KSK Incharge. This shows the true determination of women empowerment. I went to BIHTA KSK and purchased 45 KG Urea which I got only at the cost of Rs 245/- At places where urea is black marketed and sold for more than Rs 300 BISCOMAUN has stiffed the black marketers and helped Farmers by providing them urea at the genuine and lowest possible rate. All thanks to BISCOMAUN Management.

Nawada KSK Incharge Miss Tanya Sinha, Shiekhpura KSK Incharge Miss Pallavi Pandey working earnestly and honestly at their KSK Centers and handle the immense pressure of Farmers efficiently. I have visited these KSK Centers and was shocked by seeing such a huge crowd of farmers. But the brave and hard-working employees of BISCOMAUN were on their task of providing Farmers Urea at the genuine rate. They skillfully operated the POS Machine as well as the BISCOMAUN Software and manage the entire KSK Center.
They are very sincere and honest for their works, i really apreciate Chairman sir, who gave her a chance
to contribuites as much as possible and they always motivate them to join with biscomaun in large number.
