Tribune reports police in Punjab have arrested two suspects and have pinpointed three others involved in the Central Cooperative Bank’s Gharuan theft recently.
All suspected criminals are members of an interstate gang. Police say the gang is notorious for carrying out thefts at banks in many states.
A case under Sections 457, 380, and 34 of the IPC has been registered at the Sadar Kharar police station. The criminals have made away with Rs 18 lakh.
