The largest urban cooperative bank of Telangana- Gayatri Cooperative Urban Bank has reached a significant milestone, achieving an increase of Rs 100 crore in its business mix within just 143 days. A substantial portion of this growth comes from advances, which surged by approximately Rs 90 crore and deposits by Rs 10 crore.
These figures were shared with Indian Cooperative via WhatsApp by the bank’s CEO, Vanamala Srinivas.
According to the data, the bank’s total business stood at Rs 2,504 crore as of 31st March 2024, and by 31st October 2024, it had surged to Rs 2,914 crore, marking a remarkable increase of Rs 410 crore in 215 days. Of this growth, advances increased by Rs 228 crore, while deposits grew by Rs 183 crore.
Established in 2000, Gayatri Cooperative Urban Bank has consistently been on a growth trajectory. From an initial share capital of Rs 25.11 lakh, the bank’s capital has now expanded to Rs 66.12 crore.
