Maharashtra based G S Mahanagar Cooperative Bank has donated Rs 35 lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund in order to help the government fight against the coronavirus in the state.
The Bank Chairman Uday Shelke and its Managing Director Manjunatha T Kanchan personally handed over a cheque of Rs 35 lakh to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at his office in Mumbai.
The news was shared by Bank MD with this correspondent. He wrote on Whatsapp, “Mr. Uday Gulabrao Shelke, Chairman and Mr.Manjunatha Thimma Kanchan Managing Director of G S Mahanagar Co-operative Bank Ltd handed over Rs.35.00 Lakh to Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Hon. Shri. Ajitdada Pawar on account of Chief Minister Relief Fund Covid-19”.
Besides, the Bank is also planning to give three month moratorium to its over 22k borrowers who have taken loans from the bank. The bank’s Corporate office as well as branches are running with the reduced staff.
