G S Mahanagar Cooperative Bank has handed over a cheque of Rs 11 lakh to Maharashtra Cooperative Minister Subhash Deshmukh towards the Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund with a view to helping the flood victims in the state.
The bank chairman Uday Shelke personally handed over the cheque to Deshmukh the news of which was later shared by his followers on the social media.
Besides Shelke, the bank’s Director Vasanaji D. Dedhiya, Suresh H. Dhome, Satish A Khankar, Bank CEO Manjunatha Kanchan and others were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Saraswat Bank had handed over a cheque of one crore rupees to Maharashtra CM Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis towards the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for helping the flood affected people in the state.
According to media reports, flood fury in the state has been terrible this year with as many as 43 dying in floods and rain-related incidents in the state.
