Jagmohan Singh Patiala of Bharti Kisan Union (Dakuanda) said that Rs 885 crore allocated for PSCADB, by the finance minister of Punjab for 89 banks is peanuts and that it could not do any good work, reports Indian Express.
The Bharti Kisan Union functionary taunted the finance minister about his statement that the Punjab government wants banks to stand on their feet.
According to Jagmohan Singh Patiala, a large number of small & marginal farmers and farm labourers owe a lot of money to cooperative societies, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and Central Cooperative Bank.
The Kisan leader also criticised the finance minister for presenting such a gloomy budget.
