Commenting on the creation of a separate ministry of cooperation, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the new ministry would provide a separate administrative, legal, and policy framework to boost cooperative movement.
The minister said this would also make things easier for cooperatives. In her tweet the minister underlined the fact that the cooperative movement would help the country achieve prosperity.
It bears recall that the Union of India has created a separate ministry for cooperation and has entrusted Amit Shah to take over the charge.
Shah, himself a grassroot level co-operator is expected to solve the issues plaguing the cooperative movement in the country.
