In a tweet, IFFCO MD Dr. U S Awasthi revealed the first look of the IFFCO Nano Urea Plus bottle on Monday. The new bottle, with a special mention of the word “Plus,” does not look fundamentally different from the original bottle, which lacked the “Plus” designation.
“Nano Urea Plus (Liquid) is an advanced formulation of Nano Urea with a higher concentration of nitrogen, i.e., 20% N w/v, equivalent to 16% N w/w. It is environmentally friendly and applied to meet crop nitrogen requirements at critical growth stages,” said the MD.
It is used in place of conventional urea and other nitrogenous fertilizers for better soil health and farmers’ profitability. It enhances the efficiency and availability of micronutrients,” he added.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest that IFFCO is set to begin production of the ‘Nano Urea Plus’ fertilizer this week, and its commercial sale would commence from May 1.
