DV Sadananda Gowda Union Minister for chemicals and fertilizer said recently in Mangalore that the state of Karnataka would soon have its first fertilizer plant in the cooperative sector on PPP mode, reports Times of India.
Karnataka State Cooperative Marketing Federation (KSCMF) is said to be willing to get involved in the Rs 6000 crore project.
The minister said an expert committee constituted by the central govt is likely to recommend Davanagere as a suitable location for the proposed fertilizer plant.
