In a daring act a farmer of Patiala complained to vigilance about the bribe being demanded by the branch manager of Patran Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank in Patiala in Punjab, reports Times of India.
The bank manager Satwinder Singh has been arrested for demanding Rs 10000 to release a subsidy amounting to Rs 32000.
According to the vigilance bureau, bank manager Satwinder Singh had demanded money from Gurpiyar Singh, a resident of Hariao village in Patiala.
The vigilance bureau laid a trap and as Gurpiyar met Satwinder to hand over the cash, the vigilance team caught the manager red-handed.
