Nagaland has decided to initiate action against cooperative bodies that are not functioning as per the cooperatives rules and regulations, reports UNI.
Nagaland minister for agriculture and cooperation G Kaito Aye recently told the state assembly that the state government has begun scrubbing the cooperative sector in order to strengthen the cooperative movement in the state.
The registrar of cooperative societies of the state has identified and notified 342 cooperatives for cancellation of registration and there have been no objections against the notification.
