The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against Brij Bhushan Sharma, former MD of the J&K Cooperative Housing Corporation, and others for financial irregularities.
The case involves Sharma’s unauthorized loan of Rs 23 lakh from the corporation and failure to repay pension-related dues. Investigations revealed that despite a Board decision to contribute Rs 7.5 lakh towards his pension, only Rs 1.5 lakh was recovered.
Additionally, Rs 36.4 lakh from the housing loan and Rs 18.9 lakh from the pension advance remain unpaid. The ACB alleges that current MD Bharat Bhushan failed to act, leading to a loss of Rs 55.4 lakh to the government.
