ESAF Swasraya Multi-State Agro Cooperative Society Limited (ESMACO) celebrated the International Cooperative Year 2025 with a vibrant program held at its premises in Thrissur, Kerala on Wednesday. The event underscored the global theme, “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” reaffirming the organization’s commitment to fostering community development through the cooperative movement.
ESAF Cooperative Chairperson Seleena George hoisted the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) logo-embedded flag as a symbolic gesture, setting the tone for meaningful discussions and celebrations.
Christudas Karayil Victor, CEO of ESAF Cooperative, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the theme’s significance and highlighting the vital role cooperatives play in nation-building. He also elaborated on ESAF Cooperative’s notable contributions to empowering communities and promoting sustainable development.
In his felicitations, Dr. Jacob Samuel, Vice Chairman of ESAF Cooperative, stressed the importance of unity and shared responsibility in achieving the goals of the cooperative movement.
The program began with a warm welcome by Jayarajan V.K., Cooperative Information and Compliance Officer, and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Sobish, Chief Manager.
To commemorate the occasion, specially designed hats and badges featuring the International Cooperative Year logo were distributed to participants, symbolizing solidarity and enthusiasm for the movement. A celebratory New Year cake-cutting ceremony added to the festive atmosphere.
