Hindu reports the Ernakulam District Cooperative Bank will soon start offering a range of ‘door-step banking’ facilities including phone banking, voice and SMS facilities.
It also proposes to start missed call enquiry, instant mobile payment and e-commerce facilities in this major financial hub in the state.
The annual general body meeting has approved the plan.
The apex cooperative bank of the district will appoint business correspondents in places where the bank does not have branches and open branches in all the panchayats, a press release issued by the bank is quoted as claiming.
