About 67 candidates filed their nomination papers on the last day for the elections of Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank on Tuesday. The election is scheduled for 27th March 2023.
For the post of Chairman, 8 candidates filed their nomination papers whereas for the post of 16 board of directors, 59 filed the nomination papers.
Now, the process of scrutiny of nomination papers and withdrawal will be held and the final list will be made public on 18th March 2023.
Besides, the candidate for chairman, the son of a venerable cooperator and a former Minister of Bihar, late Awadhesh Singh, Praful Singh filed his papers in the presence of delegates.
“Today I filed a nomination for the post of Chairman of Jharkhand State Co-operative Bank. Prior to nominations, fellow delegates and teammates who filed nominations for the post of Director were welcomed and felicitated at the Bank’s premises”, he wrote on his twitter wall soon after filing the nomination papers.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Praful came to file his nomination papers along with 30 delegates. He was also seen helping others contestants file their nomination papers by providing proposers and seconders.
