The Cooperative Election Authority has modified the election schedule for the Board of Directors (BoD) of Gujarat’s Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank, with polling now set for 17th November 2024, instead of the previously scheduled 11th November 2024.
Earlier, Indian Cooperative reported that the original nomination dates coincided with Diwali festivities. The nomination period has now been adjusted from the earlier dates of 29th October to 2nd November 2024 to the new dates of 4th to 8th November 2024.
A total of 3,37,820 regular members are eligible to vote in the upcoming election. The election process will formally commence on 18th October 2024.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on 9th November 2024, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until 11th November. The final list of candidates will be published on the same day, with polling scheduled for 11th November 2024.
Vote counting will occur on 19th November 2024, with the official results declared on 21st November, following approval from the Cooperative Election Authority.
The election for office bearers, including the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, will take place on 23rd November 2024, with results announced after approval from the authority.
Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank, one of India’s leading urban cooperative banks, has a Board consisting of 21 directors—18 from the General category, 1 from SC/ST, and 2 from Women.
