The Office of the Cooperative Election Authority under the Union Minister of Cooperation has announced that elections for the Nagpur City Multi-State Cooperative Credit Society will be held on 16th March 2025.
The Election Authority has appointed the District Collector, Nagpur, as the Returning Officer for conducting the elections.
According to the election program, the final list of members will be published on 27th February 2025. Candidates can file their nomination papers between 28th February 2025 and 4th March 2025.
The final list of nominations received will be made public on 4th March 2025. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on 7th March 2025, and the withdrawal of nominations will be allowed until 10th March 2025.
The elections will be conducted on 16th March 2025, with the counting of votes scheduled for 17th March 2025. The results will be declared on 20th March 2025, after receiving approval from the Cooperative Election Authority.
Additionally, the elections for Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be held on 27th March 2025.
The credit society board consists of seven elected directors, and its area of operation covers Maharashtra and Karnataka. The society is one of the fastest-growing credit cooperatives in Nagpur. Its Chairman, Jitendra Wasnik, has been making efforts to take the society to new heights.
