It is said ED will not attach properties mortgaged to banks in the PMC Bank fraud involving HDIL’s Rakesh and Sarang Wadhawan, reports The Hindustan Times.
The ED is mulling restitution of properties to the lenders in frauds like Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) and former Yes Bank Managing Director Rana Kapoor.
The ED’s decision will save the NIA from the immense trouble of fighting court cases with both economic offenders and banks.
