A two-day workshop on “Doubling Farmers’ Income: Exploring Path Ways for Cooperatives in Odisha” was held in Bhuvaneshwar, reports OMMCOM News.
Odisha Food Supply & Consumer Welfare and Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo also attended the event.
As the chief guest on the occasion, Arun Kumar Sahoo said the objective of the workshop was to explore path ways to ensure the farmers get more developed. He added that most of the farmers in the state get substantial help from the cooperation department.
In his remarks on the occasion the minister of cooperation R.P Swain said their main focus is on how to double up the income of farmers soon.
