Indian Cooperative keeps receiving news related to the donations made by cooperatives towards various relief funds.
Recently, Maharashtra based Apna Sahakari Bank has donated a sum of Rs 25 lakh and Rs 5 lakh to the State CM Relief fund and the PM Care fund respectively in order to help both the state and the central government overcome the corona virus pandemic.
Besides, the bank’s employees have also donated their one day’s salary amounting to Rs 9.63 lakh to the CM relief fund. Dattaram Chalke has handed over the cheque to the authorities.
Sharing the news with the Indian Cooperative correspondent, Apna Sahakari Bank Chairman Dattaram Chalke said “Apart from this monetary help, our Bank has also distributed masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, blankets & bed sheets at the quarantine centres in rural areas. Over and above, our Bank has also donated Sanitization Pumps to Local authorities for disinfecting some of the areas.”
He further added, for complying with the Government guidelines to fight against corona, the bank has frequently santitized its Corporate Office, Branches & ATM centres.
The bank has provided sanitizers, masks & hand gloves to their staff who continue to provide customer services relentlessly through a network of its 85 Branches & 76 ATMs located all over the State of Maharashtra & Goa, in this pandemic lock down.
The bank has floated a new loan scheme for the account holders who are adversely affected due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Earlier, the Bank has appealed to all its customers to adhere to the guidelines on social distancing and shift to digital payment modes by doing their banking transactions through IMPS/BHIM APP/ATM/Apna Rupay Debit Card.
