The largest state level credit cooperative society of Maharashtra-Dnyandeep Cooperative Credit Society business crossed to more than Rs 6k crore.
The society earned a gross profit of Rs 74.03 crore, which is the highest in the history of the society. The business mix of the society stood at Rs 6053 crore.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, the society Chairman Jijaba Pawar said, “We have performed well on all the financial parameters in the 2022-23 FY and achieved the highest gross profit in the history of the society”.
“The good thing of the 2023-24 FY, is that the outstanding dues of the borrowers during the covid times, were recovered. As we launched the OTS scheme and we got back our long pending dues from the borrowers”, said Pawar.
He added, the society has a network of 110 branches in several districts of Maharashtra and this year we will strengthen our internal system despite opening new branches.
Established in 1978, the society performed well on all the financial parameters in the 2023-24 FY. The deposits and loans of the society stood at Rs 3,460 crore and Rs 2593 crore as on 31st March 2024 respectively.
Dnyandeep Cooperative Credit Society also received the Sahakar Bhushan award in 2016 and the Sahakar Maharshi award in 2018 from the cooperative department of Maharashtra.
