Sangai Express reports the delay in holding the election to Manipur State Cooperative Union (MSCU) is likely to trigger agitation by the union.
Talking to journalists Kh Tomba, a member of Manipur State Cooperative Union revealed that the process of holding a general body meeting and electing new functionaries could not be carried out within its term of five years.
A 5-member team was constituted as Board of Administrators of the Union for a period of six months IN 2022, he said. Tomba urged the authorities concerned to hold the election sooner than later.
