Bihar State Election Authority has issued a date for the election of the board of directors of Central Cooperative Banks in Bihar. The information will soon be shared on DCCB bank premises.
According to notification, Candidates can file their nomination papers on 8 January 2018. Scrutiny and withdrawal will be done on 9th and 10th January respectively. Voting (if needed) and counting of votes will be held on 18th of January 2018.
There are 22 District Central Cooperative Banks DCCBs with around 311 branches in the state. More than 5 lakh farmers are associated with these banks in one way or other.
In an interaction with Indian Cooperative Correspondent Bihar State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ramesh Chandra Choubey said “Bihar State Election Authority has recently issued a date for the election of DCCBs to be scheduled on 18 January next year but final notification has yet to be received”.
The board of directors of District Central Cooperative Banks includes Chairman and about 11 directors.
