District Cooperative Bank (DCB) of Pilibhit is likely to start four new branches in the district, reports Times of India. The bank is upbeat on its excellent performance in recent days.
The bank chairman is quoted as claiming, the registrar of cooperative banking and the RBI delegate have okayed the bank’s plan.
The DCB at present has 15 branches operating in the district. This number will go up to 19 after opening of four new branches.
Sources say the four branches will begin functioning before the rabi season and each branch will disburse agricultural loans to the tune of Rs 1.50 crore during the rabi season.
