Moga Punjab vigilance police has begun investigations into misappropriation of Rs 65 lakh at the Daudhar Multi-purpose Cooperative Agriculture Service Society from 2018-201, reports HT.
Former functionary of the society Pradip Singh had complained that government employees were involved in swindling loan amounts in the name of the dead members and NRIs.
“It is said, while 25 members had died without repaying loans, more than a dozen members fled abroad defaulting on their loans. Pardeep has provided the vigilance police with relevant documents.
