Asif Dadan was elected unopposed as the Chairman of Mumbai based Kokon Mercantile Cooperative Bank with his deputy Asgar Mohammed Dabir, in a recently held election.
Prior to becoming the Chairman, Dadan was the Vice-Chairman and he replaced Najeeb Mulla on the top post.
The election for the Board of Directors of a multi-state co-op bank was held for the year 2023-28. The board members were also elected unopposed.
The bank’s new board consists of five elected professional Directors.
The Kokan Mercantile Co operative Bank was established in 1969 as a credit society and converted into a co-operative Bank in 1977. Now it has 25 branches in Maharashtra and Goa states with a total business of Rs 1200 crores.
