Uttarakhand Cooperative Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the officials to implement the One Time Settlement Scheme related to cooperative banks. The scheme will be in vogue for 100 days-from 1st July to 7th October 2019.

Addressing a meeting in the assembly room, Rawat said under the first category even an interest of a rupee from the deceased account holders will not be taken who have deposited their principal amount on time; their interest will be waived off. Under the second category if the account holder has deposited interest equal to the principal amount then they need to deposit only principal amount”, he said.

In the last 25 years, the NPA of cooperative banks has accrued to Rs 392 crore. About Rs 21 crore has been recovered within a month under the scheme.

State Registrar B.M.Mishra, Additional Registrar Anand Shukla, Ira Upreti, Deputy Registrar Man Singh and others attended the meeting.
