Increasingly, cooperatives are coming forward to make their contributions to Corporate Social Responsibility. In the latest development, Maharashtra based Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank has joined hands with Rotary Club of Bombay West in an awareness campaign for Skin, Eye and Organ donation for the year 2018.
The launching ceremony was kicked off by a renowned actor Karishma Kapoor and General Manager of PMC Bank H K Karanth.
The Organ Donation Campaign would cover colleges, schools, Gurudwaras & other places of worship.
A press release sent by PMC Bank to Indian Cooperative reads “Human life is precious and so is the human body. There is no nobler act than donating our organs to someone in need”.
“It privileges receiver with a new lease of life. By virtue of death, one can be useful to mankind even after one’s death. This will not only help others but will also extend one’s life beyond Life”, it reads.
